Words from our pastor
Sotiris Stergios
The last times we live in are bad times. People nowadays like in Jael's time have left the narrow way and are walking in the broad way of earthly pleasures and desires. “in the days of Jael, people avoided the main roads, and travelers stayed on winding pathways” Jud 5:6
It is time to repent and return to Jesus Christ who is the true and the only way. He loves us and waits for us and He has showed it on the cross. With His hands open He cries “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” Math 11:28 The people of the Lord in these end times are called to remain united with each other and all together with JESUS who initiates and perfects our faith, in order to be able to effectively face the increasing attacks of the enemy in intensity and frequency. The spirit of this world wants to get into the church and destroy everything divine that we hold in our hearts. It affects the way we think, the way we dress, the way we behave, the way we speak, our pursuits, the way we govern the church and our walk in this life. With small or large foxes, he tries to slowly lead us away from the narrow road.
For this reason, let us see what His Holy Word advises us: “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Cor 15:58 and “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Pet 5:8-9.
